    Mirvac Retail owns and manages a dynamic and boutique portfolio of shopping centres across Australia’s eastern seaboard.  The recent acquisition of Birkenhead Point Outlet Centre within urban Sydney increases the total value of the portfolio to above $2 billion, with over $2.4bn under management.  Incorporating over 300,000 square metres of retail space and more than 1,100 retailers, Mirvac’s centres have strong positions in their local markets with geographic, retail and economic diversity providing a consistent income stream. The centres are located in prime trade areas, anchored by long-term tenancies with key retailers and incorporate a wide range of retailers with a specific focus on dining, leisure, fashion and entertainment.

    Unlocking Value

    Our strategy is to focus on unlocking value in our predominantly urban retail portfolio through redevelopment, repositioning and continuing to rebalance our portfolio via strategic acquisitions. 

    We are committed to investing in densely populated trade areas, with deep employment markets and affluent demographics with rising household wealth. 

    Our $800 million redevelopment pipeline is well underway and will improve a number of our core assets with over 35% of the pipeline completed or activated since May 2013. The pipeline includes assets that have market growth and increased market share potential, including the $154 million extension of Orion Springfield Central in Brisbane, which is currently underway.

    The Mirvac Retail portfolio continues to outperform the IPD benchmark against our peer group for Total Returns on a 1, 3 and 5 year basis, testament to our investment management capability and commitment to our customers.
