Mega Popular Makers Market Returns to Moonee Ponds Central

Following a hugely popular first Makers Market at Moonee Ponds Central, staged in early July in partnership with The Melbourne Market Co, the event will return even bigger and better on Saturday August 3rd.

Free kids entertainment and an array of stalls from passionate makers offering everything from kids clothing to artworks, gifts and homewares, jewellery and accessories alongside artisan made produce and exquisite florals made the first market held on July 6th a must do for locals looking for a day out.

“The centre was bustling with old and new customers flocking in to check out the 30 stalls curated for the event,” said the Centre Manager, Doug Lowe, Mirvac Retail.

“The Markets have already proven to be an enormously popular with our local community and we have loved the feedback from our customers and also the immediate interest from stall holders to secure stands at our next market day in August. We see this definitely becoming a regular fixture with our retailers also loving all the new activity and faces at Moonee Ponds Central.”

Cathy from The Melbourne Market Co commented, “There was a huge interest in applications for future markets and we hope to bring in an enticing and eclectic mix of stallholders over the coming months.”

Authentic handmade and artisanal makers ready to present at the markets include Little Bumble reusable food wraps, accessories from Tesori Bellini, Little Soldiers Children’s Boutique, handmade jewellery from Big Eyes Don’t Lie, gifts from Print Sisters, specialist  French food providore France at Home, handmade personal care products from Soap and Candle Co and eco friendly products from Wakatobi to name just a handful.

The markets on Saturday, August 3rd will be held from 9am to 5pm inside the centre thoroughfares, with plenty of onsite parking at the centre for easy access to 30 stall holders on site to provide your new found artisan made treasures.

Moonee Ponds Central will continue to offer a range of events throughout the year in the lead up to the opening of the new Hall Street Dining precinct. Check the website www.mooneepondscentral.com.au for details of other upcoming events.
