• It’s a “Summer of New” at Orion Springfield Central

An exciting line up of retailer and restaurant openings over the coming weeks is set to position Orion Springfield Central as Springfield’s premier food and lifestyle precinct.

A brand new retail offer will open to the public on Thursday 5 November with JB Hi-Fi and Target leading a varied range of specialty stores.

Headlining as the “Summer of New”, a new Town Square casual dining precinct will also come to life with Guzman Y Gomez, Nandos, Grill’d, Beach House Bar and Grill and Chocolateria San Churro all ready to open over the coming weeks. The family-friendly food dining precinct will be supported by the much awaited Event Cinema complex.

Centre Manger Melanie Hodge said the Town Square would offer a new and exciting dining alternative for locals.

“Town Square will be open for dinner and is the perfect complement to a night out at the new Event cinemas.”
To celebrate the opening, the centre has a great range of family friendly activities with Lego play land, dinosaurs, Hasbro Play Doh and Christmas workshops to keep everyone entertained over the coming weeks. The popular Santa’s Cottage will also open on November 19 in the new Target Mall with Santa Photos available right up to Christmas Eve.

“Our focus is on making Orion Springfield Central the heart of this community,” Ms Hodge said.
“We have seen outstanding growth in shopper numbers on the back of Coles and the opening of Orion Lagoon.  The new food, shopping and entertainment offerings will further cement the centre’s status as the place to relax with friends and family.”

The list of retailers to open in the coming weeks includes: Ally Fashion, Ice Design, Athlete’s Foot, Australian Geographic, Ollie’s Place, Q&A Nail Bar, Springfield Jeweller, Orion Hotel, Crema Espresso, Robins Kitchen, Chemhouse Pharmacy and The Source Bulk Goods.

Another range of fashion choices will be among the wave of specialty retailers to open in March.
“I can’t give you names yet, but we are excited by the level of commitment and the fashion brands that are coming to Orion,” Ms Hodge said.
